
Health and Safety Manager

- Location: Virgin Clubhouse LHR, Heathrow Airport, Terminal 3, (with occasional international travel - expenses paid)
- Salary: Up to £45,000 + Bonus, travel perks, meals, and flexible working options
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (typically Mon-Fri)
- Lead and embed a Zero Harm culture by implementing Sodexo's global HSEQ strategy, driving safety awareness, and providing leadership training across all Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse locations.
- Ensure operational compliance through regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments, maintaining alignment with UK HSE, OSHA, and local safety legislation.
- Manage incident investigations, including RIDDOR/OSHA reportable events and food safety incidents, delivering root cause analyses and sharing learnings across sites.
- Support risk management and business continuity, maintaining site-specific risk registers, emergency preparedness plans, and allergen awareness programs.
- Deliver and coordinate safety training programs, from inductions for new starters to toolbox talks and refresher sessions for permanent and casual staff.
- Engage and influence stakeholders, building strong relationships with Virgin Atlantic, site leadership teams, and regulatory authorities to drive continuous improvement.
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Intermediate Food hygiene Level 3 or above
- Food Safety Level 4
- Desirable to have Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner, Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner or similar and Environmental management experience and/or qualification
- Experience in a health and safety role, preferably within a multi-site organisation.
- Strong knowledge of HSQE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Ability to influence, engage and motivate management and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with risk management and business continuity planning.
