- Manage all administrative and compliance requirements following the completion of residential property transactions, including registrations and submissions to HM Land Registry and HMRC.
- Process and submit Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT) returns and liaise with the Land Registry in respect of registrations, dealing promptly and effectively with any requisitions raised.
- Ensure accurate preparation and dispatch of AP1/FR1 forms and all relevant supporting documents for registration of title.
- Maintain regular contact with clients, lenders, and third parties to provide status updates and secure any outstanding documentation.
- Coordinate the return of signed documents and maintain meticulous, up-to-date records in the case management system.
- Assist property solicitors, conveyancers, and other team members to ensure all post-completion matters are addressed efficiently and in compliance with statutory requirements.
- Monitor and manage deadlines to ensure timely registration and compliance, flagging any potential risks to the wider team.
- Contribute to a positive client experience by delivering proactive communication, attention to detail, and a responsive, solution-focused service at all times.
- Previous experience in a residential conveyancing team as a fee earner, or post completion role required as the role is independent.
- Knowledge of post completion processes, including SDLT, Land Registry applications, and file closures is essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage confidently with clients and colleagues.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, case management systems, and online legal portals.
- Ability to work both independently and as a collaborative member of a close-knit team.
