- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art lessons to students
- Develop and implement art curriculum in line with educational standards
- Assess and provide feedback on students' artistic progress
- Encourage creativity and self-expression through various art mediums
- Supervise and support students during practical art activities
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall art education programme
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
- Degree in Art or relevant field
- Strong knowledge of art history and different art techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Degree in Art or related field
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable
- Previous experience teaching art at secondary school level
- Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in the subject
- Understanding of national curriculum requirements for art education
- Proficiency in using various art mediums and techniques
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Additional training or certifications in art education
- Experience with educational technology in art instruction
- Work in a classroom setting within a secondary school environment
- Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work for school events
- Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
