Job Title: Teacher of ArtLocation: RedcarJob Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hoursPrimary Industry: Education and TrainingJob Duties:
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art lessons to students
  • Develop and implement art curriculum in line with educational standards
  • Assess and provide feedback on students' artistic progress
  • Encourage creativity and self-expression through various art mediums
  • Supervise and support students during practical art activities
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall art education programme
Required Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) desirable
  • Degree in Art or relevant field
  • Strong knowledge of art history and different art techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education:
  • Degree in Art or related field
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is desirable
Experience:
  • Previous experience teaching art at secondary school level
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in the subject
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of national curriculum requirements for art education
  • Proficiency in using various art mediums and techniques
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional training or certifications in art education
  • Experience with educational technology in art instruction
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a classroom setting within a secondary school environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional evening or weekend work for school events
  • Interact with students, parents, and colleagues on a daily basis
