- A membership of an appropriate organisation with the aspirations to following a pathway to achieve professional qualifications.
- Experience in the delivery and writing of geo environmental desk based studies (preliminary environmental risk assessments) and general quantitative risk assessments to a high standard.
- A thorough working knowledge of the Thomas Telford Specification for Ground Investigation version 2 and version 3 (the Yellow Book).
- Experience in supervising and managing ground investigation including soil and rock logging and gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring in contaminated land.
- An excellent understand of regulatory and legal requirements in relation to contaminated land.
- Experience in dealing with the planning process in relation to contaminated land.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, organisational, analytical and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
- Dependable, pro-active and self-motivated.
- Flexible and adaptive / innovative.
