As a Gym Receptionist / Front of House, you will be the first point of contact for our members, ensuring they have a positive and welcoming experience. Your role will involve a variety of social interactions, both in person and over the phone. Your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills will be essential in providing excellent customer service and fostering a supportive gym environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome members and guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and provide accurate information regarding gym services, classes, and membership inquiries
- Confidently handle tours of the facility, with great knowledge of our offering
- Assist with membership sign-ups, renewals, and handling payment transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
- Respond to member feedback, inquiries, and concerns in a timely and professional manner
- Provide assistance and support to trainers and staff as needed
- Maintain knowledge of current gym promotions, events, and services
- Collaborate with the team to create a positive and inclusive gym atmosphere
- Previous experience in customer service, preferably in a fitness or hospitality setting
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse individuals
- Proactive and customer-focused approach to problem-solving
- Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with fitness equipment and an understanding of gym operations is desirable
- Flexibility to work on weekends and/or weekday evenings
