A world-renowned tech innovator is seeking a Mechatronics/Robotics Engineer to support cutting-edge robotics projects within a high-performance R&D lab in London.
We're looking for someone with strong end-to-end development experience, capable of taking hardware from concept through to validation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Developing robotics hardware from initial concept to bring-up
- Applying mechanical, electrical, and software expertise to assess robotic systems and propose improvements
- Full project lifecycle: 3D CAD, drafting, BOM generation, fabrication, testing, documentation
- Integrating hardware and embedded systems for robotics platforms
- Independently assessing technical risks and defining project execution plans
- Testing and validating robotic systems for performance and reliability
- PCB design: Altium, KiCad, Eagle
- Embedded hardware/firmware: STM32, Arduino, ROS
- Programming: Python, C/C++ (for embedded and control systems)
- Motion control: Motors, sensors, actuators
- Systems integration: Hardware + Software
- Robotics system testing and fault triage
- 4-8 years experience in robotics, automation, or product development
- Strong interdisciplinary skill set (mechanical, electrical, software)
- Proven ability to take projects from concept to validation
- Comfortable working independently and cross-functionally within an R&D lab
