- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience Experience in management of flow and capacity
- Excellent working knowledge of trust systems such as Nerve Centre /Care flow
- Understanding of patient flow across an acute trust from ED admission to discharge into the community and all available options to facilitate discharge
- Excellent working knowledge of transport systems utilised within the organisation
- Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade colleagues across all areas of the system
- Effective leadership qualities
- Ability to work calmly under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate information with clarity and precision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Sensitive to clinical demands
- Demonstrate an ability to prioritise own workload and recognise, prioritise and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations
- Ability to multi task management of transfers / transport and bed reservations
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to respond flexibly to a broad range of complex demands
- Able to concentrate for long periods in an unpredictable/reactive environment
- A flexible approach to working -must be able to work outside of normal hours sometimes at short notice
- Ability to work flexibly across both campus
