- Work closely with the client’s ESG team to support the implementation of the estate’s ESG strategy, as set by the client, and coordinate the Property Management team’s efforts accordingly, including working closely with the supply chain.
- Manage environmental regulatory and legal compliance requirements relevant to building services operations and facilities management, including MEES and s106 requirements
- Maintain the Estate EPC Register and keep the wider team and client updated with upcoming expiries and proposed improvements.
- Manage the Estate Environmental Management System, including the external audit and certification to ISO 14001.
- Work closely with the Energy Manager to manage the Energy Management System and ISO 50001 certification.
- Collate and manage ESG performance data, reporting to Estate senior management and the client team.
- Extract, analyse and interpret data from a variety of sources (e.g. energy, water, waste, air quality), working with site and engineering teams.
- Assess and monitor sustainability performance at an asset level, identifying priorities and the implementation of interventions.
- Work with the Energy Manager, Engineering teams and Property Managers to understand and support the delivery of energy reduction and efficiency projects, and the Estate Net Zero strategy.
- Facilitate annual green roof monitoring by the appointed consultant.
- Support delivery of green infrastructure and nature strategies to increase biodiversity.
- Manage the Area Travel Plan and work with occupiers to ensure the achievement and improvement of sustainable travel targets. Work with the appointed consultant to undertake a bi-annual travel survey.
- Engage with Estate strategic partners, including the London Borough of Camden (e.g. sustainability and transport teams).
- Support teams to maintain individual property WELL Health Safety Ratings.
- Support the coordination of estate air quality monitoring.
- Manage the onsite waste service partner to reduce overall waste production and track performance against intensity metrics. Ensure the highest levels of recycling and reuse.
- Working with occupiers and Property Managers, identify partnerships and implement circular economy opportunities.
- Promote and support circular economy projects and partnerships.
- Work with the Social Value Manager to support delivery of the Estate Social Value Strategy.
- Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders, share environmental data, information and insights, promoting innovation.
- Produce and deliver ESG training to colleagues, client team and occupiers on environmental topics.
- Attend and contribute to the quarterly Environmental Occupier Forum, and maintain good relationships with occupiers to progress projects/initiatives between Forum meetings.
- Be the sustainability point of contact on the ground, supporting occupiers and the property management teams, including site-based managers, surveying teams working centrally, and service partners.
- Promote and implement external sustainability standards and apply for sustainability awards.
- Produce case studies and marketing materials demonstrating team and asset-level success.
- Represent the Estate at industry events (e.g. Camden Climate Change Alliance events/meetings).
- Maintain the Sustainability Handbook, ensuring it is up to date with all occupier-relevant initiatives and platforms.
- Regularly review and update ESG-related policies, identifying gaps and promoting best practices.
- Strong attention to detail and produces work to a high, consistent and accurate standard.
- Ability to independently prepare findings reports and presentations, and to identify new ways of working.

- BSc/BA Degree in Environmental Science, Geography, Sustainability or equivalent
- Professional membership with IEMA, CIBSE or equivalent
- Fluency in carbon accountancy, experience of working with sustainability data, including carbon, energy, water and waste.
- Completely IT literate with a high level of competence in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Experienced with data analysis, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to create complex formulas.
- Experienced in producing and delivering training material and presentations.
- MSc or MEng in Environmental Management/Sustainability or equivalent.
- Knowledge and experience of applying sustainability in the property sector.
- Experience with WELL H&S, GRESB, SECR, ESOS and SBTi.
- Competency in leveraging AI tools to enhance efficiency and insight generation.
