- Proven experience of working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
- An understanding of the secondary school curriculum and the challenges faced by students aged 11-16.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service, or a willingness to apply for one.
- The Eligibility to work in the UK.

- Behaviour Management: A firm yet fair approach to managing student behaviour and promoting positive conduct.
- Support the teacher in the delivery of engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assist with the preparation of classroom materials, resources, and displays.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and attendance.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times, including breaks and lunch.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals to ensure a consistent support system for students.
- Implement specific learning and behaviour interventions as directed by the teacher and SENCO.
- Promote the well-being and safety of all students, adhering to school policies and procedures.
