Contractual hours: 36Job Description:Location: Boston Spa or St PancrasContract: PermanentHours: Full time (36 hours)Grade: BSalary: £31,364 per annum BSP / £34,608 per annum STPAbout the roleThe Metadata department has a vacancy for a Metadata Systems Analyst, to be based in West Yorkshire (Boston Spa) or London (our St Pancras site). As a member of the Metadata Systems team, you will initially be participating in the implementation and support of a new cloud-based library system (Ex Libris Alma) to manage our published collections. The team also provides business support for systems which relate to archives & manuscripts and collection management. Along with your fellow team members, you will work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure that library systems and associated processes are implemented and optimised to meet business requirements and that users conform to established best practice and recognised standards, contributing to the necessary training and documentation.Highly organised, enthusiastic and able to work to tight deadlines, you’ll have good analytical skills, pay great attention to detail and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.In addition to knowledge of relevant metadata standards for published resources and/or archives & manuscripts, you will have experience in working with library systems and knowledge of library acquisition and bibliographic workflows.
