- Platform & System Management: Lead the setup and ongoing development of our volunteer management system, Rosterfy - building portals, designing user journeys, and ensuring the entire process (from recruitment through to post-event reporting) runs smoothly.
- Leading the Workforce: Take responsibility for a select number of our global events, managing the entire lifecycle of volunteer and workforce operations - from detailed remote pre-planning and coordination through to hands-on leadership during event delivery. Working closely with local teams, you’ll ensure every element of the temporary workforce programme is executed to the highest standard.
- Communications & Content Creation: Own all workforce communications - from crafting training materials and information packs to developing clear emergency procedures and standard operating protocols (SOPs). You’ll also deliver engaging on-site briefings that prepare and inspire volunteers and staff.
- Budget & Performance Management: Take ownership of the workforce budget for your assigned races - raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and ensuring all spend stays on track. You’ll also monitor recruitment and retention data to report on performance and support operational improvements.
- Shaping the Future: Design and deliver long-term initiatives - from multi-year incentive programmes to new engagement ideas - that keep our volunteers inspired and returning. Acting as the voice of our workforce, you’ll gather insights through surveys and feedback, championing continuous improvement and ensuring the volunteer experience evolves year after year.
- Workforce Operations Expertise: Significant experience managing large-scale workforce operations - from recruiting and onboarding to scheduling and on-site delivery. Skilled at coordinating temporary teams and ensuring seamless volunteer and staff experiences at major events.
- Platform Proficiency: Hands-on knowledge of volunteer management systems, ideally Rosterfy - able to configure portals, optimise user journeys, and produce data-driven reports.
- Project & Event Management: Proven background in project management, working across multiple stakeholders to deliver complex operations in high-pressure, international event environments.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong management skills with the ability to lead diverse teams, communicate clearly, and navigate cultural differences across our global workforce. A second language is an advantage.
