With strong investment in people, technology, and professional development, the firm provides an excellent platform for newly qualified solicitors to begin and build their careers.The TeamThe firm's Personal Injury team specialises in noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) claims for factory and industrial workers, alongside a wider range of industrial disease matters. It is a busy and supportive team, offering the opportunity to manage your own caseload with guidance and mentoring from experienced litigators.The RoleAs a Newly Qualified Solicitor, you will gain hands-on experience in occupational personal injury litigation, with support and structured training. Responsibilities will include:
  • Managing a caseload of NIHL and industrial disease claims under supervision.
  • Conducting liability investigations and instructing medical experts.
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and legal correspondence.
  • Negotiating settlement of claims.
  • Attending court hearings and mediations where appropriate.
  • Maintaining accurate case records and ensuring compliance with relevant protocols.
  • Contributing to the team's success and supporting colleagues when needed.
About YouYou will be:
  • A Newly Qualified Solicitor (or qualifying in 2025) admitted in Northern Ireland.
  • Interested in developing a career in personal injury and industrial disease litigation.
  • Confident with strong interpersonal skills, and someone who enjoys dealing with clients directly (including over the phone).
  • Equipped with strong drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills (experience gained during training will be valued).
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and client care skills.
  • A team player who can also work independently when required.
