Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a caring and dedicated individual looking to support children in their learning and development within a primary school setting?GSL Education are seeking a Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Rotherham (S65) area. As a Primary TA, you will support teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and help pupils develop their academic, social, and personal skills.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Support pupils’ learning, both individually and in small groups, across a range of subjects.
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
  • Help pupils develop key skills, confidence, and independence.
  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe, inclusive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to meet pupils’ needs.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a primary school setting.
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to support children with diverse learning needs.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
