Freelance Site ManagerLocation: NorthamptonshireRate: £300 per dayEngagement: Ltd company or CISStart Date: ASAPDuration: 6 MonthsMy client is looking for a proactive and experienced freelance site manager to oversee a large commercial refurbishment and interior fit out project in Northamptonshire. The successful candidate will act as the key link between the workforce and project management, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of the scheme.Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate daily site activities
  • Ensure all works are executed in compliance with health & safety procedures, RAMS, and environmental protocols.
  • Ensure that all operatives are briefed daily and work to method statements and risk assessments.
  • Monitor workforce productivity, ensuring adherence to programme schedules and escalating any potential delays.
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety briefings as required.
  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily diaries, progress photos, and reporting any incidents or near misses.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a site manager (5 years plus)
  • SMSTS, CSCS and first aid
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ideally from a carpentry or joinery background
