You will be joining a successful firm with a collegiate and supportive culture, which makes it a rewarding place to work.The practiceOur specialist Property Disputes lawyers excel in helping clients resolve all kinds of disputes ranging from all aspects of landlord and tenant to complex, highly technical development and cutting edge land rights disputes for telecom operators and energy clients. The team handles cases at all levels of the Court system, as well as before Tribunals and arbitration panels, in order to represent the interests of clients. The practice also provides advice on risk mitigation and management in the context of potential disputes and property related regulation.We have a premier client base and support these clients on a range of market leading cases. Clients include Barratt Homes, Marks and Spencer, National Grid, Cornerstone and Vodafone.This role will be to support on a number of clients across the team on various projects.Find more about our practice using this link:The teamLed by Leona Briggs who is rated in both Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, the team spans the Bristol and London offices; in Bristol we are currently comprised of 2 Partners, 1 Legal Director, 7 Associate Directors, 6 Senior Associates, 4 Associates, 2 Trainee Solicitors, a senior legal supervisor, 6 Paralegals and 2 Solicitor Apprentices. We work across office with our London colleagues as well.This role will primarily be supporting Emily Van Schalkwyk and Leona Briggs, the Partners in the team.Technical skills and experienceDue to the technical nature of the practice, evidence of having worked within a Property Litigation team in a similar role would be an advantage. Most importantly though you will have an interest in building your knowledge in this area and a willingness to learn as part of the team.We are looking for somebody who enjoys variety, has a client-oriented approach, enjoys being part of a team and has a flair for solving problems. Good oral and written communication skills are also required.As a guide, due to the nature of the work and the structure of the team, we are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Paralegal in this area, although we will consider candidates with more or less experience.Your career developmentLike all our lawyers, you will benefit from our multi-award winning career development programme.
