We are seeking committed and resilient One-to-One Support Workers to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Knowsley, Liverpool. This specialist provision supports pupils aged 5 to 16, offering both primary and secondary alternative education for those who have been permanently excluded or require a more supportive environment than mainstream school can offer.This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who need stability, structure, and positive role models to help them reach their potential.Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils, as well as assistance in small group settingsSupport emotional regulation, engagement, and the use of positive behaviour strategiesWork collaboratively with teaching staff to deliver tailored learning activitiesBuild strong, consistent relationships with pupils to promote progress and well-beingRequirements
Minimum of 6 months classroom experience in the UKExperience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, or within an alternative provision is desirableStrong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressureA positive, empathetic attitude and a commitment to pupil inclusionEligibility
Right to work in the UKEnhanced Child Barred List DBS (on the Update Service or willing to apply)Two professional references related to childcare or educationAvailable to work full-time from SeptemberWhat We Offer
