- Experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Be able to provide your two most recent references – either work-based or education
- Have an engaging and proactive nature and a willingness to work in the best interest of young people
- Provide support to children, focusing on their social and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance communication skills among children.
- Educate children on social skills through engaging activities and play-based learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and special education staff to create inclusive classroom environments.
- Monitor children’s progress and adapt approaches as necessary to meet their evolving needs.
- Engage in toddler care when required, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians regarding children’s development.
