This permanent position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated engineering team within a close-knit environment, ensuring the continuous and safe operation of air services.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction for the maintenance organisation to meet operational and business objectives.
  • Serve as the CAA Nominated Postholder for Part-145, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the prioritisation and allocation of line maintenance resources in collaboration with Maintrol.
  • Manage the Line Maintenance team, including training, performance management, and engagement.
  • Address compliance and safety occurrence reports by establishing root cause and implementing corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of departmental processes, communication, and procedures.
  • Ensure the team meets operational performance targets, including Technical Dispatch Reliability (TDR) and ADD levels.
  • Develop and manage departmental budgets to ensure cost-effective service provision.
  • Maintain adequate resource levels to meet high operational standards.
  • Uphold strong relationships with London City Airport regarding engineering matters.
  • Support ad hoc projects and wider Engineering initiatives as required.

Experience:
  • Licensed Aircraft Engineer or equivalent technical/operational qualification; must meet CAA Nominated Postholder requirements for Part-145.
  • Operational management experience including people management.
  • Working knowledge of engineering processes, procedures, and Part 145 and Part M/CAMO requirements.
