Job Description:Group Financial Reporting SupervisorLarbert*This is an Internal opportunity only*You have a responsibility to inform your current line/department manager and local human resources representative before applying for the role.POSITION SUMMARY:We're looking for a qualified accountant to join our Group Finance team as a Financial Reporting Supervisor. In this role, you'll oversee statutory reporting, audits, and technical accounting across NFI Group, while developing and supporting a direct report. This is a great opportunity for a detail-driven finance professional to take on a leadership role in a global business.WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Contribute to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting statements for ADL Group and its subsidiaries and analysis for both internal (ADL & its parent company, NFI Group) and external purposes
  • Delivery of UK statutory accounts and supervision of overseas statutory audits and financial statements
  • Management of day to day interactions and information requests for both internal and external audit cycles escalating to the Head of Financial Reporting as required as well as any other internal or external queries that may arise.
  • Collaborate with ADL & NFI Group finance on the preparation of accounting technical papers and development of policies.
  • Development and upskilling of direct team and wider ADL/NFI teams where necessary.
  • Work with Control Process Owners to implement control improvements in response to internal and external audit findings.
  • Undertake leadership development activities as appropriate
  • Ad hoc projects and tasks as requested by the Head of Financial Reporting and Group Director, Internal Accounting
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Chartered Accountant with at least 2yrs post qualifying experience (ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA)
  • Hands on experience in auditing, IFRS financial statements preparation and financial controls in a listed/large multi-site corporate environment.
  • Ability to manage upwards and with other departments.
  • Confident communicator who can build relationships across all business functions. This role will require interaction with multiple teams both within the UK and overseas.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Problem solving mentality and ability to carry out complex analysis from a variety of sources.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
