We are looking for a resilient and committed individual who understands the problems faced by individuals who find themselves homeless or in insecure accommodation and who enjoys a challenge. Experience of substance use would be beneficial, although we will provide training.Main duties of the jobThe Drug and Alcohol Outreach Service is recruiting for a Floating Outreach Recovery Worker to work within the Truro area. You will work alongside the Adult Community Service to ensure that an accessible treatment offer is available to those who find themselves rough sleeping or in insecure accommodation. The outreach service is countywide and promotes a holistic, multi-agency response to the needs of the individual. Successful candidates will work as part of the outreach team alongside in-house services that include clinical, hospital, adult community team, criminal justice, and residential rehabilitation facility. As a Floating Outreach Recovery Worker, you will be meeting people in their space more often than in an office; therefore, it is essential that you have a current driving licence with access to a vehicle, as this post includes a great deal of driving. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week and occasional Saturday working may be required. Benefits * 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
