Due to the retirement of one of our long-serving staff members, Oswald Medical Centre is looking to welcome a dedicated full time Medical Secretary (up to 37.5 hours per week) to our supportive and dynamic team. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:a. Typing letters, reports and associated documentation as requiredb. Liaising with external agencies such as hospitals and community services, ensuring referrals are processed efficientlyc. Managing all enquiries in an effective mannerd. Maintaining an accurate referrals databasee. Actioning all incoming emailf. Processing calling letters as requestedg. Scanning of patient related documentation and attaching scanned documents to patients healthcare recordsh. Inputting data into the patients healthcare records as necessaryi. Processing referrals using the electronic referral system (ERS)j. Work with the Administration Team for Processing requests for information i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to ensure these are completed in a timely mannerk. Clinically coding data on EMIS Clinical Systeml. Answering incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriatelym. Managing all administrative queries as necessaryn. Carrying out system searches as requestedo. Maintaining a clean, tidy, effective working area at all timesp.
