If so, this could be the opportunity you have been waiting for!An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Medical Secretary with excellent interpersonal skills to join our Team here at Springhill.You will be responsible, in conjunction with your job-share partner, for providing an effective and efficient secretarial/administrative service to our team of Doctors and Nursing Staff.You will be expected to act on your own initiative to organise, prioritise andco-ordinate your workload, ensuring that deadlines are met.You must have excellent word processing and administrative skills, as well as previous experience of working within a clinical area in a similar role.Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, as is the ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate sensitively with a wide range of people, either face to face or over the phone, in an appropriate and supportive manner.PLEASE NOTE THAT PREVIOUS APPLICANTS NEED NOT APPLYUK Residents to apply only as we are a registered Charity and not the NHS.Main duties of the jobTo provide an effective and efficient medical secretary service for patient administration within the Hospice.The post-holder would be required to produce accurate, high quality medical correspondence for our medical team using copy typing, templates and audio if required.Some key tasks are listed below. Remembrance Service administration9. Maintaining and updating clinical documentation10. Maintaining storage of clinical records11. Undertake any other duties as appropriate to the role.GENERAL1. Attend team meetings as appropriate.2. Maintain excellent lines of communication internally with all visitors, staff and volunteers; and externally with supporters within the local community.3. Participate in the Hospices education/training programme, including mandatory training. Attend training as required to maintain own knowledge and further develop expertise.4. All staff have a duty to take reasonable care to avoid injury to themselves or to others.5.
