- Qualified to degree or equivalent level, e.g. Knowledge of pharmaceutical technical procedures acquired through training Level 4 Certificate of Higher Education in Pharmacy Technician Practice or NVQ 3 and BTEC or equivalent in pharmaceutical science
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
- Evidence of Continued Professional Development.
- Accredited Checker Pharmacy Technician. (ACPT)
- Accredited Medicines Management Pharmacy Technician. (MMPT)
- Educational supervisor training
- Clinical supervisor training
- PWDS Pharmacy Medicines Optimisation Training Programme (PMOTP) - Unit 3 Clinical Prioritisation or equivalent.
- Management qualification/ experience
- Consultation skills qualification
- Leadership qualification
- Introduction to Education and trainings.
- Level 4 Enhanced Clinical Diploma
- Diploma of higher education in advanced Pharmacy Technician practice
- CIPS qualification in procurement.
- Undertake the relevant training and attain the required competencies for the administration of medication to inpatients.
- Extensive experience in community, primary or secondary care
- Extensive experience of training different staff grades
- Experience in supervision of staff
- Experience of clinical prioritisation of workload.
- Experience of leading a service
- Experience of reading and interpreting blood results
- Flexible approach to the needs of the service including weekend and bank holiday working
- Ability to travel between sites in a timely manner.
- Welsh Speaker (Level 1)
