Are you an experienced and dynamic Operative looking for your next position?We are currently looking for an Operative at our Killerby packing plant in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. As the successful Operative, you will report to the Site Manager and will be responsible for undertaking all site duties safely, understanding CRH and SHE safety. You will also be working in different areas including raw materials, storage, production, dispatch and housekeeping.Main ResponsibilitiesOn a day to day basis, duties and responsibilities of the Operative will include (not exhaustive):
  • Meeting daily production target requirements.
  • Reporting of data for quality purposes.
  • Moving, loading and unloading product from the plant and vehicles
  • Meeting customer service requirements in terms of accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround.
  • Continuous Improvement of performance standards
  • Continuous improvement towards plant and production methods
  • Good housekeeping
The Ideal CandidateAs our ideal Operative, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience working within a similar production & despatch environment. You will also:
  • Possess good communication skills and be numerate
  • Be a proficient communicator
  • Be a good team player
  • Have experience of manual handling
  • FLT licence desirable
The role is based at Killerby in Northallerton, North Yorkshire. The site is easily accessible from Darlington, Thornaby, Stokesley, Thirsk, Bedale, Leyburn, Richmond, Barnard Castle, Masham and the surrounding areas.At Tarmac, 'who you are' matters.
