Behaviour Support Worker - Oldham:Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an experienced behaviour support worker to join a large provision in the Oldham area. You will be supporting pupils aged 4-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.The Role:
  • Providing 1:1 mentoring and pastoral support to students
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils, parents and other staff members
  • Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Using de-escalation and positive reinforcement techniques to support progress

  • Minimum Rate of Pay: £105 per day, depending on experience

Experience, Training & Qualifications:
  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (in schools/youth work settings)
  • A calm, patient and empathetic approach
  • Team Teach training is highly desirable
  • Up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (desired but training can be provided)
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional references
