Circa £55,000 + Excellent BenefitsAre you ready to take on a pivotal role where you'll lead environmental projects, advise clients across the UK, and contribute to wider strategic growth?Irwin and Colton have been engaged to recruit a Senior Environmental Consultant for a global leader in the recycling and resource management sector. The organisation operates over 150 sites across the UK and internationally, generating annual revenues in excess of £4 billion.Key responsibilities of the Senior Environmental Consultant will include:
  • Providing expert advice to clients on environmental compliance, ensuring alignment with legislation, best practice, and internal management systems
  • Leading the development, preparation and submission of environmental and producer compliance permit applications, including WEEE and related documentation
  • Supporting business development by identifying new opportunities, preparing proposals, and broadening the scope of consultancy services across the UK
  • Acting as a key point of contact with regulatory bodies, including the Environment Agency, building positive relationships and ensuring effective communication and resolution on technical matters
The successful Senior Environmental Consultant will have:
  • Demonstrable experience in a comparable role, preferably within the industrial or manufacturing sectors
  • A degree in an environmental discipline or a relevant professional qualification such as IEMA
  • Practical knowledge of environmental management systems, including ISO 14001 and environmental permitting
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
