📅 Working Pattern: This is a 5-day onsite working role🎯 About the RoleWe're looking for a highly motivated Operations Accountant to join our finance team at Windmill Lane. This is a key role partnering with site leadership to deliver strategic financial support, ensure robust reporting, and drive continuous improvement across our Fresh Ready Meals operations.You'll take ownership of the monthly accounts, lead budgeting and forecasting activities, and manage a small team to deliver accurate and insightful financial analysis.📊 Key Responsibilities📈 Control & Reporting

Lead monthly reviews and business planning sessions
Deliver working capital analysis, tracking, and forecasting
Own budget, projection, and forecast activities with detailed analysis
Prepare monthly accounts, annual budgets, and year-end reports
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and monthly review meetings
Track CAPEX submissions and cost-saving initiatives
Ensure compliance with statutory and internal procedures
Manage a team of two finance analysts

🤝 Business Partnering

Provide timely, accurate financial analysis to senior stakeholders
Support strategic decision-making and performance management
Challenge investment decisions to maximise ROI
Influence and coordinate strategic business plans

🔧 Operations & Continuous Improvement

Streamline reporting processes
Promote a culture of continuous improvement

👥 Team Development & Leadership

Lead and develop the finance team with clear objectives
Foster cross-functional collaboration
Own personal and team development plans

📌 Key Accountabilities

Accurate preparation of monthly accounts and forecasts
Cost of sales performance reporting and variance analysis
New product costings and post-launch evaluations
Active involvement in site projects to drive improvements

🧠 The Person We Need🎓 Education & Qualifications

ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent)
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

💻 Technical Skills

Strong analytical and numerical skills
Experience in management accounting (preferably in manufacturing)
2+ years post-qualification experience
Advanced Excel skills; SAP and BI experience desirable
