Posted on behalf ofEMPEL SystemsA producer of cutting-edge integrated electric motor and power electronics modules is currently looking to hire a Senior Mechanical Engineer. The successful candidate will be involved at all stages of the design and development process, liaising directly with customers, and the core engineering team to conceive and develop effective engineering solutions.The Senior Mechanical Engineer will:
  • Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers to ensure development and delivery of designs.
  • Participate in technical reviews of product designs, requirements and specifications.
  • Assure design feasibility by confirming fabrication, assembly and installation processes.
  • Confirm system capabilities by designing testing methods or utilizing analysis tools.
  • Deliver engineering tasks in line with project milestones.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have:
  • A degree or similar in engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' relevant industry experience.
  • Sound knowledge of engineering principles, materials selection and manufacturing techniques.
  • Basic knowledge of Low Carbon Electric and Hybrid Vehicle technologies.
  • Proven track record in the effective delivery of technical objectives to quality targets and milestones.
  • Advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office and applications.
  • Good working experience of mechanical systems CAD software e.g. CATIA, Unigraphics, Solidworks or similar.
  • Strong presentation, report writing and communication skills.
