Job DescriptionWe are seeking reliable, kind and caring people to join our care assistant team at Home Instead.This is a part time position, but you will have the same, regular hours each week. We are advertising for a split shift with hours available in the morning, and then again at tea time and early evening. The role is for 3 or 4 weekdays plus every other weekend and would suit somebody who enjoys a long break during the afternoon, or has other commitments to attend to during this time.As a Care Professional with Home Instead, you will be visiting Clients in their own homes to help them with all elements of their morning, lunchtime and evening routines, and provide meaningful companionship at the same time. This may also involve providing personal care assistance.We offer:
  • Pay rate of £13.40 - £15.20 per hour.
  • Double pay on Bank Holidays
  • Paid travel time plus paid mileage.
  • A range of guaranteed hours contracts available e.g.: 12, 16, 30 hours p/week. Or zero-hours to suit your availability.

We will support you with full training, shadow shifts with a Team Leader and introductions to all you new clients.Having a full, UK driver's licence and your own car is essential due to some tasks that may be involved like shopping trips, taking to appointments etc.We provide free ongoing learning and development opportunities such as the Care Certificate, Health and Social Care diplomas and an extensive range of distance learning courses.Additional InformationWe encourage applications from all sections of the community as we want to reflect the neighbourhoods in which we work.
