- BSc (hons) in Clinical Physiology or equivalent qualification
- Registration in the Cardiology modality through the Registration Council For Clinical Physiologists (RCCP) or equivalent
- BHRS / IBHRE accreditation or equivalent
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working in all areas of Cardiac Physiology
- Proficient in specialist non-invasive clinical technical cardiac investigations
- Ability to report at a high technical level across a range of diagnostic tests
- At least 3yrs experience as a Senior Cardiac Physiologist with some evidence of leadership/management during this time
- Advanced IT skills
- Ability to frequently perform intricate physical tasks with a high level of concentration
- Able to help lead a team confidently and competently.
- High degree of knowledge/clinical acumen in related medical fields
- Able to work well under pressure
- Sound interpersonal, organisational and communication skills
- Evidence of continuing professional development across a range of specialist clinical techniques and fields.
- Able to use own initiative
- Ability to maintain standards of care and leadership in a busy environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team within the Trust and Primary Care
- Able to deputise for Head of Service
- Assertive yet approachable
