You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, leading on supplier frameworks, governance, and risk management – all while making a tangible impact on the way we operate now and in the future.What You’ll Be DoingAs a Supplier Relationship Specialist, you’ll be the key link between Anglian Water and our supplier partners – making sure relationships run smoothly, performance stays on track, and every partnership delivers value. In this role, you will:Manage supplier relationships – act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of suppliers, building strong partnerships, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement.Oversee performance and compliance – monitor contractual delivery, chair regular performance reviews, resolve issues, and make sure suppliers meet health, safety, and risk management standards.Maximise value and benefits – ensure suppliers deliver in line with our commercial goals, monitor spend, and align performance with Anglian Water’s strategic objectives.Develop frameworks for the future – support the evolution of supplier frameworks, identifying opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and better ways of working.Champion governance and best practice – ensure processes are followed, contracts are well managed, and colleagues know how to get the best from our agreements.This is a role where your relationship-building, problem-solving, and commercial acumen will directly influence how effectively we work with our suppliers – ensuring we deliver value for our customers, colleagues, and communities.As a valued employee, you’ll be entitled to:Personal private health care26 days annual leave – rising with length of serviceFlexible workingCompetitive pension scheme – Anglian Water double-matches your contributions up to 6%Bonus schemeFlexible benefits to support your wellbeing and lifestyle.What does it take to be Successful?We’re looking for someone who brings a blend of commercial acumen, relationship management, and analytical ability. You’ll have a proven track record of managing suppliers, contracts, and frameworks — with the confidence to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively.To succeed in this role, you’ll need:Strong knowledge of supplier management processes, frameworks, SLAs, and KPIs.Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to negotiate, influence, and communicate clearly.Commercial management experience, including driving value from contracts and suppliers.Analytical skills to assess supplier performance, manage risk, and turn data into actionable insights.A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to constructively challenge and make decisions.An understanding of supplier health & safety requirements and risk management practices.QualificationsEducated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field.Demonstrable experience in supplier relationship management, contract management, and compliance.Experience of supplier performance assessment, renewals, and value optimisation.Awareness of the Utilities Contracts Regulations (2016) is desirable.Why Anglian Water?At Anglian Water, what you do really matters.
