Production Team LeaderAbout the Roleyou will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership for a varied group of technicians with a range of skills during the manufacturing cycle. Team leaders will manage their team and provide effective guidance, through supervision, leadership and motivation of team members on a daily basis.Team leaders will ensure that all customer and business standards, delivery, cost and quality requirements are met. These targets must be effectively communicated and visual to the team they are leading and be responsible, for their own projects or work streams within a project to clarify the requirements to all team members.The Team Leader will be the first point of contact for all team members; therefore, communication skills should be excellent. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration for Product Innovation, Engineering, and Supply Chain, coupled with cost and lead time reduction programmes.Key duties for this role include:setting key team goals through the delegation of tasks and set deadlinesoverseeing day-to-day operation managing their teammonitoring team performance and report on metricsidentifying training needs and provide coachingundertaking performance reviews for team members.The role may require occasional domestic and international travel to support the on-going efforts of the businessAbout the roleWhat We're Looking ForThis person should create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture, ensuring the standard of workmanship within the manufacturing areas are maintained to the required level of 'SMD' requirements for high-quality product.The successful candidate should also understand workflows, offline assemblies scheduling and executing projects in a complex, bespoke manufacturing business. They should also ensure that safe practices are undertaken, through adherence to Health, Safety and Environmental policies.The successful candidate will have experience with the use and development of LEAN techniques for manufacturing processes.This individual will have skills in the management of customer requirements, with a clear view of quality requirements.
