- Creating a safe, nuturing and stimulating environment to support the development and learning of young children typically from the ages 9 months -5 years.
- Observe and assess the children's development to best understand their needs and interests and be a part of important milestones.
- Provide a well rounded education incorporating physical, emotional and social development with literacy and language.
- Ensure the safety and well being of all children in your care following safeguarding policies and upkeeping high standards of cleanliness.
- Building positive strong relationships with families, sharing experiences and milestones.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's individual needs, behaviour and accomplishments so children are able to constantly progress well beyond their natural potential.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly of younger ages.
- Level 3 Early Years qualification or level 2 with experience, paediatric first aid and safeguarding training.
- Knowledge of child development with the ability to observe and assess milestones and behaviour.
- An understanding of relevant safe guarding and child protection procedures.
- A passion for working with children, to be engaging and encouraging children to explore a balanced and holistic curriculum.
- An enhanced DBS check and up to date references.
