
Fleet Support Technician

- Issue Resolution: Monitor, manage & resolve escalated fleet-related issues to resolve VOR turnaround, ensuring timely communication and follow-up with relevant stakeholders, through liaising with suppliers, workshops and third-party providers to ensure prompt vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Supporting the Transport & Delivery teams during peak periods to ensure fleet availability, to be able to deliver operational excellence.
- Compliance Monitoring: Support the engineering team in ensuring all vehicles meet DVSA and internal compliance standards. Collaborate with the audit team to complete site audits on maintenance standards to ensure a safe and legal operation across VMU and DC's.
- Ensuring our VMU & service providers maintain the highest standards of maintenance and compliance with excellent health and safety standards.
- Managing 3rd party providers against VMU contracts T&C's
- Support the Transport & Delivery team management of their costs from suppliers, challenge any areas of opportunities. Review and manage recharge damage invoices ensure the quotes are valid and reasonable - collaborate with fleet engineer
- A willingness to travel where necessary, to attend sites and scoping meetings across the UK. Whilst on these visits, represent Booker to the highest level of professionalism and excellence.
- IRTEC inspectors' qualification minimum
- City & Guilds Level 2
- Class 1 / Class 2 Licence
- LGV technical knowledge
- Previous experience in a fleet support, transport operations, or engineering administration role (HGV experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of HGV maintenance and compliance requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

- Experience in Transport & Logistics
- Knowledge of Vehicles Road Transport law (especially Driver's hours and vehicles servicing etc.)
- Experience with fleet administration
- Knowledge of Operator licencing compliance
