We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our clients team, bringing expertise in maintaining complex mechanical systems in high-hazard environments. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and safety of plant assets, supporting production goals, and upholding the highest standards of compliance and performance.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance, inspection, and repair of mechanical plant equipment including pumps, gearboxes, valves, heat exchangers, and agitators.
  • Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime.
  • Work in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and internal safety and quality standards.
  • Support the development of apprentices and less experienced team members.
  • Participate in safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and work safely in all weather conditions and confined spaces.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • BTEC (ONC), City & Guilds, or NVQ Level 2 in a relevant mechanical discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience post-apprenticeship on a COMAH site (preferably Top Tier).
  • High Risk Confined Space (NC4), Asbestos Awareness (CAR 2012), and Mechanical Joint Integrity certification (ECITB or equivalent).
  • Proficient in SAP S4HANA and Microsoft Office.

  • Experience working with hazardous materials and understanding of Basis of Safety (BoS) principles.
