You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth delivery of technical services and support across one of the UK's most important naval programmes. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to national defence while developing your career in a fast-paced, stable, and expanding division.Day-to-day, you'll oversee project delivery by managing technical documentation, coordinating subcontractors and scaffold services, and supporting site operations with detailed planning and risk assessments.
  • Creating detailed management tasks to support project delivery.
  • Writing risk assessments and method statements.
  • Providing technical documentation.
  • Overseeing specialist subcontractors onsite and managing additional customer work requests.
  • Managing scaffold requests and coordinating timely quotations from dockside service contractors.
This role is full time 35, hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.Essential experience of the Support Engineer
  • Previous experience in a ship or submarine repair environment.
  • Background in itinerant trades or similar technical support roles.
  • Excellent IT skills and familiarity with company systems.
Qualifications for the Support Engineer
  • ONC or equivalent level qualification
