Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a caring and proactive individual with a passion for supporting young learners?GSL Education are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join schools in Retford, offering vital classroom support and helping students thrive in their learning journey. As a TA, you will work closely with class teachers to support students' learning and wellbeing, providing targeted assistance to individuals or small groups.Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:
  • Assist in delivering engaging and accessible lessons.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils who need extra help.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Support pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or specific learning requirements.
  • Contribute to the planning and preparation of learning activities and materials.
Requirements for Teaching Assistant:
  • Experience working with children or young people in an educational or care setting is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A patient, supportive, and flexible approach to working with students.
  • A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
  • A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
