We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Building Assistant to work as a member of a multi-tasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise within an effective and efficient customer focused maintenance service to provide a fit for purpose estate and environment to all Trust owned, leased or rented properties.If you want to live locally and work locally, with an employer that offers flexible and agile working with great development and career progression opportunities, then this may be the role you!Main duties of the jobTo work as a member of a multi tasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise within an effective and efficient customer focused maintenance service to provide a fit for purpose estate and environment to all Trust owned, leased or rented properties.The post holder is also accountable within the Facilities department to ensure adequate processes and procedures exist for the improvement, promotion and delivery of safe, quality and value for money services. To deal with new situations as they arise and pass on knowledge to others.To assist Maintenance staff of all trades in the repair and maintenance of hospital property and equipment including mechanical, minor electrical and building works.To carry out duties within the building section including painting, labouring, carpentry and building works.To carry out the collection of data as required e.g. roads & path surveys.To understand and assist the working of the building systems in N.H.S. buildings.To assist and carry out repairs, maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment.To assist on building planned preventative maintenance system to confirm that all scheduled items are being undertaken n the most efficient and effective manner.To be aware of the building regulations.To carry out any other duties required by management relevant to the post.To work unsupervised as part of the Maintenance team in an occupied environment and able to understand mental health problems.   • Full and clean driving licence
