You will be part of a highly experienced and collaborative team, working on a broad and fascinating caseload of health and welfare Court of Protection matters. This includes Section 16 and 21A applications, best interests decisions around residence and treatment, and Deprivation of Liberty cases.You will have the chance to appear in the Court of Protection, work alongside senior practitioners on complex matters, and take on increasing responsibility as your confidence and capability grow. This is a team that values progression and invests in developing its lawyers into recognised specialists.What They're Looking For:
  • A qualified solicitor with 1 to 5 years' post-qualification experience, ideally in Court of Protection or public law
  • A genuine passion for mental capacity law and protecting the rights of vulnerable people
  • Excellent legal research, drafting, and advocacy skills
  • Strong emotional intelligence, resilience, and client care skills
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage files with appropriate support
