We act in health and welfare, property and affairs and serious medical treatment cases for all parties, including the protected person (via the Official Solicitor, other litigation friend or Accredited Legal Representatives), relatives, local authorities, health bodies, and intervenors.We are regularly instructed in novel questions about the tests for capacity in specific areas (consent to sexual relations, forensic risk and capacity, fluctuating capacity), and in complex cases concerning issues such as forced marriage and radicalisation. We appear at all levels of the Court of Protection from Tier 1 judges to the Supreme Court.Across all of Chambers we strongly foster a multi-disciplinary approach to our work and the team maintains close associations with other specialist teams in adjacent areas such as mental health, community care, health and social care-related inquests, and public law. Many of our practitioners have acquired experience in a range of disciplines. We are a busy, collaborative and innovative team, working closely together to meet our clients’ needs.Your profileTo ensure we can continue to provide our clients with the highest level of service, the Court of Protection & Mental Health Team is now seeking to recruit experienced barristers of 8 years call and above.   • copies of your aged debt report, current diary, and payment summaries and work-done reports for the last 3 years;
