
Night Housing Support Worker – Young People’s Services

- Provide housing management, welfare advice, and support to help young people sustain accommodation.
- Ensure the safety and security of the building and its residents at all times.
- Engage proactively with young people, offering guidance, signposting and emotional support.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of resident interactions, risk assessments and incidents.
- Conduct room and building checks, reporting repairs and ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Respond to emergencies and safeguarding concerns, liaising with external agencies as needed.
- Promote customer involvement through consultation and feedback activities.
- Manage low-level anti-social behaviour, and support young people in resolving disputes.

- Experience working with young people or in supported housing (paid or voluntary).
- Understanding of issues such as homelessness, mental health, substance misuse, and safeguarding.
- Knowledge of housing and welfare benefits.
- Strong communication and record-keeping skills.
- A Level 3 qualification (or willingness to work towards one) in youth work, health and social care, or a related field.
- Desirable: Mental Health First Aid, safeguarding training, knowledge of Ofsted supported accommodation regulations.
