You will play a key role in supporting Healthcare Support Workers, apprentices, student nurses, ODPs, and new team members to build their skills and knowledge, ensuring we provide excellent patient care.As part of the education team, you will be at the forefront of planning, delivering, and evaluating training programmes designed to meet the diverse learning needs of our clinical workforce. You will work closely with various professional groups and key stakeholders, both within the Trust and externally, to ensure that training is of the highest quality and aligned with the Trust's vision and values.Main duties of the jobThis role is essential in creating a learning environment that supports staff in their continuous professional development. You will provide mentorship, clinical supervision, and direct support to a range of staff, ensuring they are equipped with the competencies necessary to deliver high-quality care. You will also assist in the development and delivery of induction programmes, tailored learning plans, and specialty training for all staff in the operating department.As part of the senior team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Clinical Leads, Education Leads, and other key stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of education programmes.   • Professional adult nursing qualification and clinical knowledge acquired through training to diploma or degree level.
  • PLUS post graduate learning or experience relevant to practice with demonstrable competence OR specialist knowledge across the range of work procedures and practices, underpinned by theoretical knowledge or relevant practical experience.
  • Mentoring qualification or relevant professional equivalent experience
  • Evidence of continued professional development
ExperienceEssential
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to analyse data/evidence and use reasoning to support decision making
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Good negotiation and influencing skills
  • To use a wide range of Microsoft office packages and keyboard skills to use a wide range of e learning resources
