Prospero Teaching is currently recruiting for a General Teaching Assistant to work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in a vibrant primary school in Rochdale. This long-term opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils and enjoys being part of a dedicated school team.Key Responsibilities:
· Provide classroom support across KS1 and KS2, assisting with learning activities
· Work with individuals and small groups to boost progress in core subjects
· Support the class teacher with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and resource management
· Promote positive behaviour and engagement throughout the school day
· Provide pastoral support to pupils and help create an inclusive learning environment
· Monitor pupil progress and share observations with teaching staff
· Follow all safeguarding procedures and school policiesRequirements:
· Level 1 or Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent experience)
· A minimum of 12 weeks’ experience in a UK primary school
· Good understanding of the primary curriculum
· Flexible, proactive, and confident supporting pupils across different year groups
· Up-to-date safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
· Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
