You'll play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and staff wellbeing through high-quality food service.Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary standards
- Collaborate with dietitians to meet patient-specific nutritional needs
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and monitor equipment
- Supervise and support kitchen assistants during service
- Control portion sizes and reduce food waste
- Serve meals promptly and accommodate special dietary requirements
- Participate in menu planning and stock inventory
- Previous experience in a hospital or large-scale catering environment is essential
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently across varied shifts and weekends
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Attention to detail and adaptability to dietary changes
