
Trainer/Assessor in Electrical Installation

- Plan, deliver and assess training sessions at college and employer premises
- Conduct regular progress reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Support learners through End Point Assessment (EPA) processes
- Develop and maintain e-portfolios for Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours (KSB)
- Deliver off-the-job training as part of apprenticeship requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and apprentices
- Conduct workplace visits and assessments
- Provide guidance on apprenticeship standards and EPA requirements
- Act as liaison between employers and the college
- Interview prospective learners and assess programme suitability
- Maintain accurate learner records and documentation
- Complete health and safety risk assessments at employer premises
- Register learners with appropriate awarding organizations
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (or equivalent vocational qualification)
- Level 3 TAQA or Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Qualifications (A1 equivalent)
- Current Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Recent vocational experience in the electrical installation industry
- Evidence of continuous professional development in electrical work
- Experience of assessment within the relevant curriculum area
- Professional experience dealing with employers
- Strong knowledge of Health and Safety legislation in electrical work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends when required
- Full UK driving licence with business insurance (or alternative travel arrangements)
- Proficient IT skills and record-keeping abilities
- Experience working within Further Education or training environments
- Knowledge of current vocational qualification systems
- Experience with e-Portfolio systems
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification
- Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) experience
- Internal Quality Assurance qualifications and experience
- Mentoring and standardization capabilities
- Leadership in quality assurance processes
- Salary: £29,770 - £34,600 (depending on level and experience)

- Annual Leave: 27 days plus bank holidays
- Contract: Permanent, full-time (37 hours per week)
