Campus/Location: South Kensington & White CityUndergraduate Admissions Tutor, Director of Undergraduate Studies, Senior Tutor, Examinations Coordinator, departmental students, administrative and academic staff, and other members of College staff as appropriate.We are looking for an Undergraduate Programme Officer to provide support for the Department's undergraduate (UG) administration, including all admissions and relevant examination processes, assisting the UG Admissions Tutor, Senior Tutor, Director of Undergraduate Studies and Examinations Coordinator. In addition, the post holder will provide an efficient and effective service to the staff and students of the Department, covering the full range of activities in the Student Office. The post holder will be the main port of call for student services, supporting students with information and advice.Some of the duties include:
  • Acting as the first point of contact and provide information for staff, students and other internal and external visitors and callers to the Undergraduate Office.
  • Processing UCAS applications (including via Imperial 360), making informed recommendations on applications to the UG Admissions Tutor, communicating with applicants (email requests, letters, telephone) and Registry.
  • Arranging UG admissions interview days.
  • Liaison with other College divisions such as the Registry, Accommodations Office, Disability Office, Tuition Fees and International Office.
  • Assistance with the production and dissemination of information to staff and students in a timely fashion using a variety of electronic and other media and the maintenance of confidential student files and databases.
  • Compilation of class lists, creation of tutorial groups and statistical information and provision of information to academics for references for students.
If you are educated to degree level (or equivalent) or a comparable level of professional
experience and have experience of working in a busy administrative role within an academic
environment.
