
Finance Manager

- Own the Month End process, ensuring all tasks and responsibilities are completed in a timely fashion against Group reporting deadlines
- Produce the monthly management accounts and present to the Financial Controller
- Provide ledger and GL code analysis on a monthly basis
- Ensure Balance Sheet submissions are reconciled and agree to the accounting systems to Group reporting deadline
- Fully participate and lead, as needed, on finance projects including, but not limited to, the streamlining and improved efficiency of the finance function
- Play a key role in the planning and execution of the statutory audit to Group reporting deadline
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Cencora and MWI finance procedures
- Assist in preparation of cash projections and historical reports
- Proactive in the critical review of and improvement to internal controls on an ongoing basis
- Support and monitor internal control structure for the business to ensure compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Responsible for calculation and submission of MWI UK Group quarterly VAT returns ensuring Group VAT obligations are reported and accounted for correctly
- Pro-actively identify process improvements and work with the necessary teams to implement these process improvements
- Take responsibility for the Business Continuity plan for Operational Finance
- Ensure all OND surveys are completed to deadline
- Understand and comply with job relevant, Companies Practice Standards at all times.
- Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and attend training sessions as appropriate.
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience
- Experience of producing management and statutory accounts
- VAT return calculation and submission
- Proven people management skills
- Excellent communication and teamworking skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and an ability to work to deadlines
- Be able to use initiative and take responsibility
- Trustworthiness and respect for confidentiality
- Good change management skills
- Good IT skills – Microsoft Excel and SAP
