You will oversee existing processes and systems while identifying opportunities for improvement. The position offers significant exposure across the organisation, working closely with senior management, the deals team, finance and fund operations, and IT. You will be instrumental in ensuring that valuations meet the highest standards while supporting the continued growth and evolution of the business. What the job involves
Serve as the primary point of contact for planning and managing the valuation process and timeline, coordinating inputs from deal executives and finance teams, and overseeing output distribution
Liaise with third-party valuation providers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of reports
Review and challenge valuation assessments and methodologies to ensure consistency, compliance with policy, and adherence to quality standards for both debt and equity investments
Conduct portfolio-level analytical reviews to extract meaningful insights
Monitor market data and industry trends to inform and validate valuation assumptions
Manage the collection, updating, and monitoring of deal-related statistics and perform analysis to generate insights
Provide ad hoc support for investment activities, including deal execution and realisation
Support portfolio information gathering and analysis on an as-needed basis
Lead and facilitate Investment Committee reviews and discussions
Oversee the distribution of monthly, quarterly, and valuation materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Manage audit procedures for investment valuations
Ensure all valuations are supported by robust working papers, clearly documented assumptions, and well-reasoned rationales
Prepare monthly and quarterly review packs for the Investment and Executive Committees, and coordinate the distribution of deliverables to internal stakeholders
Stay current with developments in valuation standards and best practices, and drive enhancements to internal valuation policies and procedures
Lead or contribute to transformation initiatives to improve systems and processes for portfolio monitoring and valuation
Who we are looking for
Proven valuation expertise with experience across infrastructure investments
Strong accounting and/or audit background, combined with sound commercial judgment
Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build and interpret financial models; experience with valuation techniques such as discounted cash flow is highly desirable
Solid understanding of valuation standards and IPEV guidelines
Meticulous attention to detail with a practical, hands-on approach
Highly proactive and organised, able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels
