Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term, Part-time / Full-timeAre you a confident and adaptable individual looking to support schools by delivering lessons in the absence of the class teacher?GSL Education are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work in schools across Chesterfield. As a CS, you will supervise classes, ensure students remain on task, and deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, providing essential continuity to the learning process.Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:
  • Supervise pupils and deliver set lesson plans in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Maintain a focused and positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Support students with their learning and engagement.
  • Liaise with teaching staff to ensure smooth lesson delivery.
Requirements for Cover Supervisor:
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different subjects and year groups.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A full CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps clearly explained.
