
Senior Technical Manager

- Leading the site technical team and embedding a strong culture of food safety, quality, and compliance.
- Ensuring all products meet customer requirements, legal obligations, and audit standards.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with major retail customers, acting as a key technical contact.
- Supporting and managing customer visits and third-party audits.
- Managing the training matrix and development of the technical team.
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Collaborating with wider business functions to support innovation and new product development.
- Ensuring site compliance with HACCP, BRCGS, and retailer standards at all times.
- Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.
- Proven technical management experience within food manufacturing.
- Strong working knowledge of HACCP, BRCGS, and food safety systems.
- Experience liaising with retail customers and handling audits.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible and adaptable with a proactive approach.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Lead Auditor / Internal Auditor qualification.
- Experience within high care or high-risk food manufacturing.
- Knowledge of retailer standards, particularly M&S and Waitrose.
- HACCP Level 4 certification.
- Salary: £50,000 - £55,000, depending on experience.
- Monday-Friday day shift (40 hours per week).
